Our Courage Kids session is an exciting and fun way for kids to exercise and learn healthy lifestyle habits. Our Coaches provide a safe and fun environment that guarantees success for all ability and experience levels. This is NOT just weightlifting for kids. We focus on good movement, having fun, teamwork, and confidence building. The program is based primarily on running, drills, games, body weight exercises, tumbling, etc, and introduces the basics of safe weight training.
Each workout, your kids will learn and practice functional movements involving exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play. They will participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes. They will pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump. There will be drills designed to help develop critical thinking and reasoning skills, instill confidence, and learn the value of leadership and teamwork. Your kids will learn healthy lifestyle practices that will last a lifetime.
At our gym in Durham, we provide an environment that celebrates the abilities and successes of every child, at every ability level, and of every body type. We will combat the notion that there are ideal body types, shapes, and sizes. We will teach the kids to understand that every body is capable of amazing things. We want to build the confidence in every kid we meet to be comfortable in his/her own skin.
Enrolling your child in a well rounded program like ours will show them that health and fitness is something that you prioritize and want to educate them about.

We want your kids to work hard, but we never demand that children work harder or faster during a workout. This is a critically important point: With children, we always prioritize good movement over speed. We do not want them so sore the next day that they are hurting. It is our experience that when children move well consistently over time, they will eventually move faster safely.
